Briefly about the new universe

Since e-Boks are no longer providers of public digital mail, your mailbox has changed appearance and is more divided. In this article, you will be able to see how the post is split up.

You will therefore now see 3 tabs on your e-Boks called:

My overview: Here you can see the last 10 letters you have received, regardless of whether they are from private or the public sector.
Mail from companies: Here you can see your mail, which has been sent to you by private companies such as your bank, insurance or other private companies.
Mail from the public sector: Here you can see your mail that you receive from government authorities.

General difference between Post from the public sector and Post from companies:

Folder structure: The folder structure of ‘Mail from companies’ and ‘Mail from the public sector’ is different from each other. This means that you now have 2 folder structure, one for 'Mail from companies' and one for 'Mail from the public sector'.
Write a new mail: If you want to write a new mail, under 'Mail from companies' you will be able to press 'Write new mail' and write to private companies. Conversely, in 'Mail from the public sector' you can press 'Write new mail' and send mail to public authorities.

In order for you to access your public mail in e-Boks, you must have given consent.

Below you can see some screenshots of how e-Boks will look in the future.

My overview: Here you can see the last 10 letters you have received, regardless of whether they are from private or the public sector, it will also show the record regardless of whether you have archived/moved the record in the 2 other inboxes.

It is also on this page that you will be able to see if you e.g. need to enter your e-mail or phone number on e-Boks.

Mail from companies: Here you can see your mail on e-Boks.dk which has been sent to you by private companies such as your bank, insurance or other private companies.

Here it will be possible to send mail to private companies, and move/create folders for your private mail that you have received.

Note! that the folder structure is not the same under companies and public.

Mail from the public sector: Here you can see your mail that you receive from the government.

Here, it will also be possible to send mail to public senders by pressing 'Write new mail'.

You can also move/create folders for the public mail that you have received. If you delete, move or do anything else here, it will also be changed on the public Digital Post inbox at www.virk.dk

Where are my folders?

In connection with the launch of the new public digital mailbox, you will see a change in your folder structure.

When you log on to e-Boks.dk, you will now start by going to 'My overview', here you can 'not' see your folders. This is because your folders are now split into ‘Mail from companies’ and ‘Mail from the public sector’.

You can see below how 'My overview' will look, there you can also see that there are no folders on the left side.

Therefore, you now have to enter e.g. 'Mail from companies' to see your folders and mail from private companies such as bank insurance and etc. Below you can see what it looks like, and on the left you can see your folders.

You can also access ‘Mail from the public sector’ to access your folders and mail from public sector, such as municipalities, payment Denmark and etc. Below you can see what it looks like, and on the left you can see your folders.
