What is the new public Digital Post-solution?
The new Digital post solution means that e-Boks is no longer is the provider of Digital Post from public authorities, or the responible of digital mail from the public sector. This is also the reason that you post is now 'split up' into two different tabs. Since 21. March 2022, e-Boks only works as a 'reflection' of the new Digital Post provider.
Why do i have copies of mails from public authorities?
After the transition to the new Digital Post solution, the mail can be found in two places.
Your mail from public authorities can still be found in e-Boks, but also in the new Digital Post solution.
That means that you will find the original documents in the tab 'Mail from public authorities' and a copy of the mails in the tab 'Mail from companies'. We therefor offer the possibility to delete the mails in the 'Mail from companies'-tab, if you do not want to keep the mails in two different places.
What do i get out of deleting copies?
Since the mail can be found in two places,this can cause confusion and obscurities in the users e-Boks-account and Digital Post-account. When you choose to say 'Yes' to deleting the copies, you will only have your mails from public authorities in the 'Mail from public authorities' tab. In this way you avoid having your mails stored in two diffrent places.
If i choose to skip this, can i remove the copies later?
If you choose to skip this, you can still have the copies removed later. You can do this by following the guide below:
- Log on www.e-Boks.dk
- Click Menu in the top right.
- Click Mail from companies followed by Manage public mail.
- Here you can press Yes, delete copies, to delete the mail-copies.
What do i do if i deleted the original documents in the 'Mail from public authorities' tab?
If you have deleted the original documents from the 'Mail from public authorities' tab, you will only have the copies left.
If you choose Yes, delete copies, you will loose all the mail from public auhtorities received after 21. March 2022.
Beware: This is only applicable if you have deleted the mails from public authorities, in the tab 'Mail from public authorities'.
How do i undo deleting copies?
If you choose Yes, delete copies you have 30 days to undo your decision.
You can do this by going to the Deleted mail-folder, and either moving the documents to a folder of choice. This can be the Inbox or a own created archive folder.
