How to give consent to receive mail from public authorities?

After the new Digital Post solution went live in Denmark, you have to give consent in order to see your mail from public authorities on e-Boks. If you do not give consent, you will not be able to see mail from public authorities in your e-Boks. In this article we will show you how to give consent via our website.

1. Pop-up notification about consent

When you log on to your e-Boks, you will be greeted by a pop-up notification where you can choose whether you want to give consent to receive mail from public authorities or not.

If you want to see and access mail from public authorities, then press 'Yes'.

Should you wish to decide on this later, you can press 'Ask me later'.

2. How do I say 'Yes' to consent?

To say 'Yes' to continue receiving and reading mail from public authorities on e-Boks, you must first of all log on to e-Boks.dk with your MitID.

Once logged in to your e-Boks, click 'Menu', which is located at the top of your screen. Then choose 'Mail from public authorities' underneath the headline 'Registrations'.

Here it is possible to see whether you are registered or not, meaning whether you have given consent or not to see mail from public authorities in e-Boks. At this page it is also be possible to register and give consent if you wish.

This is also the case if you pressed 'Ask me later' in the pop-up notification.

3. What happens after I give consent?

Once you have given consent to see mail from public authorities, you will be able to use e-Boks to see both the mail you receive from private companies and the mail you receive from public authorities.
