How do I confirm my primary email address?
Why have a primary email address?
When you insert your primary email address, companies with a user agreement in relation to you will be able to send you post through e-Boks by using your primary email address.
- Your primary email address is the email address that senders can use to identify you.
- Notification about new post will contain information in regard to whether you wish to be notified about new post.
It is possible to use the same email address for 'Notification about new post' and 'Your primary email address'.
Companies with a user agreement in relation to you can send you mail via e-Boks, if they have a user agreement with you and possess one or more of the following pieces of information:
- Your CPR number
- Your address
- Your primary email address
You will thereby continue to not receive spam mail in your e-Boks.
Please Notice: This function is not applicable for e-Boks Erhverv. Moreover, you will not be able to view or edit your primary email in the app.
How do I confirm my primary email address?
You can confirm your email in one of two ways:
1. Confirm the pop-up window
You can confirm your primary email in the pop-up window in your e-Boks by selecting either 'Yes' or 'No, update information' in the reminder below:
Afterwards you can insert the desired email address as the primary email.
2. Confirm in user profile
- Log on https://private.e-boks.com/danmark/en
- Select 'Menu'
- Choose 'Profile - Post from companies'
- Here you can insert your primary email - it can always be deleted or edited.
After updating your primary email, you will be asked to confirm it. A confirmation code will be sent to the email in question.
Please Notice: Some time may pass before you receive the code in your email.
Inset the code and select 'OK'.
Your primary email is now confirmed. The company with a user agreement in relation to you will now be able to send you mail on e-Boks by using your primary email.
If your email is not unique
If your primary email has been registered on another's e-Boks, it will not be possible to save it. In that case, you will receive the following message:
You can now choose to delete the email as identification from others, after which you will receive a confirmation email:
