1. What happens to the digital mailbox when the company closes, or the owner dies?
A company's mailbox is closed, and all mail is deleted after 10 years. Prior to this, the company will receive reminders at several intervals before the company's mail is deleted.
2. Can the digital mailbox be reopened if the company is re-established after being closed?
The digital mailbox is linked to the company's CVR number. The main rule is that a discontinued CVR number cannot be reused. For sole proprietorships, however, the CVR number can be reused if the company is later re-established. Mail in the digital mailbox is deleted 10 years after the CVR number has ceased. From the company's termination, and up to 10 years after, the company can access its digital mail as long as there is a valid digital employee signature associated with the CVR number.
3. What is the best way to set up the mailbox for many users?
If all users are allowed to see and do the same thing in the mailbox, it is recommended to use the standard functionality. The extended functionality is recommended if it is necessary to distinguish between who is allowed to read what.

4. Can I administrate users and mail across multiple CVR numbers?
No, it is not possible. As a rule, your employee certificate gives access to a specific CVR number. However, you can grant another company access to your company mailbox.
5. If you have multiple P-numbers, do you need multiple digital mailboxes?
No, if you want to distribute incoming mail to different units, you can create purpose-specific folders and associated archive rules that ensure that mail is automatically transferred to the desired folder. A company can only have one digital mailbox linked to its CVR number. An unlimited number of folders can be created in the digital mailbox and access to the folders can be managed by setting up roles and rights.
6. How can we work together with our accountant or other advisors?
It is possible to give an accountant or advisor access to your digital mail. The simplest thing to do is to contact the company/citizen and tell them that you want to grant them access to your digital mailbox. It may be a good idea to agree on which rights your company should give the company/citizen. The following rights are available:
Reading - the user can read all mail in the selected folders
Editing - the user can read/rename/move/delete all mail in the selected folders
Administration - the user has access to all archive folders and can read/rename/move/delete all mail and all folders
