In this article, we will describe how to create new employees in your e-Boks Erhverv (e-Boks Business) so that they can use the mailbox for reading and sending mail in the future. In this guide, you will need the new employee's MitID Erhverv to find the employee's MitID UUID (See Part 1), which will then need to be entered into your company's e-Boks.

Creation of New Employees (MitID)
In order to allow employees to log in directly to your company's e-Boks, the following roles are generally required (unless a current administrator already has access to the company's):
- Ledelsesrepræsentant on MitID Erhverv. (Note that this role is only assigned to companies that can be owned by a single person, such as sole proprietorships and associations).
- Rettighedsadminstrator on Rettighedsportalen
Individuals with one of these roles will have full administrator rights, including the ability to sign documents on behalf of the company. It's important to note that a regular administrator does not have the authority to sign documents unless they also hold the role of Management Representative or Rights Administrator.
Although a regular administrator may not have signing authority, they still have the ability to perform other important tasks, including the creation of new employees and the management of user profiles. To grant access to other employees, the current administrator must assign them a user profile (see Part 2).
Note: Until October 2023, it is also possible to create a user profile if the employee needs to log in with NemID. Learn more here.
If the employee needs to be able to read mail from public authorities, it is also necessary to assign rights in the public rights portal (rettighedsportal). Here, you can advantageously choose that employees with access to Digital Post should also be able to log in to e-Boks Erhverv. This way, individual employees do not need a dedicated user profile in e-Boks Erhverv, and employee management will only need to be done in the public rights portal. See Part 3 of this article for how to activate this.
Part 1: Find the employees MitID UUID or RID-nummer
Log on MitID Erhverv
- Open https://mitid-erhverv.dk/
- Click on Menu and choose Log på MitID Erhverv
- Choose the person, that should gain access to e-Boks Erhverv
- Note the employees UUID or RID-nummer.
Part 2: Give employee access to e-Boks Erhverv
Log på e-Boks erhverv
- Log on e-Boks erhverv as administrator or representant
- Choose Menu and choose Rettigheder
- Click on Opret brugerprofil
- Write the employees name and choose, and choose that they should logon via MitID.
- Write the employees MitID UUID or RID number.
- Click on Næste.
- Choose the role the employee should have in e-Boks Erhverv.
- Click on OK
Part 3: Give Digital Post user profiles access to e-boks Erhverv
Skip this step if you wish to assign dedicated access to employees in e-Boks Erhverv.
Log on e-Boks Erhverv
- Log on e-Boks Erhverv as administrator or representant
- Choose Menu and choose Rettigheder
- Click on Aktiver in the section Anvend Digital Post brugerprofiler
After this you should log on: Rettighedsportalen
- Open https://rettighedsportal.digitalpost.dk/
- Log in as rettighedsadministrator
- Create a user profile for all relevant employees and assign either basic or advanced access to Digital Post.
These employees will now be able to log in to e-Boks Erhverv and view mail from private companies and public authorities.
