Users of e-Boks will always have direct access to delete the contents of their mailbox via the e-Boks mobile app and web.

The user can always deregister senders and deactivate their e-Boks account via the e-Boks web solution (menu --> unsubscribe from e-Boks)

Users' basic information, including CPR number and whether the user is alive or dead, is obtained automatically from the Central Person Register.

 

e-Boks operates as a data processor for senders of digital mail. This means that e-Boks receives documents from senders, which are delivered to them / the rightful recipients' digital mailboxes at e-Boks. Senders can only send digital mail to recipients via e-Boks when a user is registered as a sender or if the sender guarantees that they meet the applicable requirements for sending digital mail to a recipient.

 

When a document is available in a user's digital mailbox, e-Boks acts as the data processor for the user and the sender has no right to withdraw or change the delivered digital mail.

 

e-Boks is never datacentrically responsible for documents, whether they have been delivered or are being delivered.

 

All other personal data about users which is processed by e-Boks is either provided by the user or transferred from authorities and companies ('Senders') who have ensured that they have the necessary authority to relay the information to e-Boks.
